Day 1: Cochin: Arrival at the Cochin international airport & welcome by our local representative.
On arrival at Cochin international airport, welcome by our local representative and drive to the hotel. A visit to Fort Kochi could be proposed according to your flight schedule.
Day 2 – Cochin:
Visit the Mattanchery Palace also called the Dutch Palace. Built-in 1555 by the Portuguese, the first Westerners to arrive in the region, as a gift for the Raja of Cochin, Veera Kerala Varma. Its nickname as Dutch Palace is in fact due to the restoration assumed by the Dutch in 1663. Despite these Western origins, the palace is built in the Indo-Keral style, with its beautiful worked frames in wood, magnificently painted ceilings, and roofs resembling to Chinese pagodas. Free time to explore the colonial houses of Fort Cochin and the Chinese fishing nets.
Day 3 – Cochin / Athirapally :
In the morning drive to Athirapally. Located in the Thrissur district of Kerala, this is an enchanting destination for nature lovers, known for the serene rivers that flow through the place and the waterfall. Visit the Athirapaly waterfalls & the Sholayar Dam. Night at leisure at Anthirapally.
Day 4 – Athirapally / Munnar :
In the morning drive to Munnar. A small beautiful hill station in Kerala known for its tea plantations. The unending expanse of tea plantations and rolling hills in Munnar make it look like a picture from a postcard. Check-in at your hotel. In the afternoon visit Tata Tea Museum. Evening leisure at your hotel.
Day 5 – Munnar:
In the morning with a local guide enjoy a half-day hiking tour into the tea gardens of Munnar. Arrive at the top to have a panoramic view of the mountainous and green landscape. Return to the hotel and late afternoon at leisure.
Day 6 – Munnar / Alleppey :
In the morning drive through the serene tea gardens and villages of Kerala to Alleppey. The Backwaters capital of Kerala. On arrival check into your houseboat and enjoy the beautiful and tranquil backwater cruise till sunset. Dinner and night on board.
Day 7 – Alleppey / Maraikulam :
In the morning cruise on to enjoy the sunrise over the Arabian Sea. After breakfast check out from Houseboat and drive to Mararkulam, a beachside fishermen’s village. Relax on the beach or at your hotel.
Day 8 – Mararikulam :
Take a stroll along the beach or rent a bicycle to explore the Marari village and its local markets.
Day 9 – Mararikulam :
Relax on the beach
Day 10 – Mararikulam / Cochin Airport :
Your driver will take you to Cochin Airport for your onward flight.
