Itinerary: Bhalukpong, Tawang, Bomdila, Kaziranga, Shillong, Cherrapunjee & Guwahati Local Tour.

DAY 1: GUWAHATI ARRIVAL

Pick up from Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. In the evening set out on a River cruise to explore the sunset over the Brahmaputra River and see yourself why the river is locally called ‘Luit’- the color of blood. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 2: GUWAHATI / BHALUKPUNG / ASSAM

After breakfast drive to Bhalukpung in Assam. Situated on the border of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight stay at Bhalukpung.

DAY 3: BHALUKPUNG / TAWANG /ARUNACHAL

In the morning after breakfast drive to Tawang. Also on the way witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. Overnight in Tawang.

DAY 4: TAWANG / ARUNACHAL

Tawang – The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GOLDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monastery – one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana sects in Asia. The birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 years old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you the unparallel beauty of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening free for shopping. Overnight in Tawang.

DAY 5: TAWANG / ARUNACHAL

In the morning after breakfast full day sightseeing of in beautiful Tawang visiting Tawang Monastery, Singsur nunnery, Zimithang, Gyangong Ani Gompa, Tatsang Gompa, Sangster lake, Banggachang lake, Urqelling monastery, Buddhist cultural center, and Urqelling Monastery. Evening free at leisure. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6: TAWANG / BOMDILA / ARUNACHAL

In the morning drive to Bomdila. En route tour the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, Apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

DAY 7: BOMDILA / KAZIRANGA / ARUNACHAL / ASSAM

Morning visits to the Bomdila monastery. Later drive to Kaziranga National Park the home of the “One Horned Rhinoceros”. It is one of the oldest national parks in Assam on the south bank of the river Brahmaputra. Spread across 430 sq. km. Wild elephants, Hogdeer, and Barasingha also abound, Check in at the hotel /Resort, Overnight stay at the hotel/Resort.

DAY 9: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG

Early morning drive to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunjee – The wettest place on Earth offers roaring waterfalls, limestone caves, a living root bridge, & galore of water & adventure activities. Witness the gorgeous Seven Sisters falls & visit the Mawsmai cave & Thangkharang Park. Return to Shillong. On the way visit Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.

DAY 10: SHILLONG – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

In the morning take a city tour of Shillong, also known as The ‘Scotland of the East’ lies in the center of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The Botanical Garden, Butterfly Museum, Lady Hydari Park, Mini zoo, Golf course, The State Museum, and Elephant Falls are the major tourist attractions in Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

DAY 10: SHILLONG – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

DAY 11: SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

In the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Proceed for local sightseeing of Guwahati which Includes – Kamakhya Temple, Balaji Temple, Basistha Temple, Srimanta ShankarDev Kalakshetra, State Museum, and local markets. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 12: GUWAHATI – DEPARTURE

After breakfast check out from the hotel with everlasting memories and transfer to Guwahati airport/railway station for an onward journey.
