Itinerary: Bhalukpong, Tawang, Bomdila, Kaziranga, Shillong, Cherrapunjee & Guwahati Local Tour.

DAY 1: GUWAHATI ARRIVAL

Pick up from Guwahati airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. In the evening set out on a River cruise to explore the sunset over the Brahmaputra River and see yourself why the river is locally called ‘Luit’- the color of blood. Overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 2: GUWAHATI – BHALUKPUNG (ASSAM)

After breakfast drive to Bhalukpung in Assam. Situated on the border of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight stay at Bhalukpung.

DAY 3: BHALUKPUNG – TAWANG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

In the morning after breakfast drive to Tawang. Also on the way witness the snowcapped Sella Pass at 14000 ft and the Jaswant Garh War Memorial. (Legend has it that Jaswant (Mahavir Chakra Awardee (Posthumous) of 4th Batallion Garhwal Rifles), fought a lone battle against the invading Chinese during the 1962 war. Overnight in Tawang.

DAY 4: TAWANG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

Tawang – The beautiful land of the Monpa tribes with the “GOLDEN NAMGYEL LHATSE” Monastery – one of the largest Lamaseries of Mahayana Buddhist sects in Asia. The birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, the Monastery is 400 years old and is adorned with the 18 feet high statue of Lord Buddha. ‘The Land of Dawn-lit Mountains’ at 3500 mts gives you the unparallel beauty of nature. Visit the monastery and the War Memorial. Evening walk to explore the markets of Tawang. Overnight in Tawang.

DAY 5: TAWANG (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

In the morning after breakfast full day sightseeing in Tawang. Visit Tawang Monastery, Singsur nunnery, Zimithang, Gyangong Ani Gompa, Tatsang Gompa, Sangster lake, Banggachang lake, Urqelling monastery, Buddhist cultural center, and Urqelling Monastery. Evening free at leisure.

DAY 6: TAWANG / BOMDILA (ARUNACHAL PRADESH)

In the morning drive to Bomdila. On the way visit the unique Dirang Valley famous for its monasteries, hot Springs, apple & kiwi Orchards, sheep breeding farms & charming valleys. Evening free at leisure. Overnight stay in Bomdila.

DAY 7: BOMDILA – KAZIRANGA (ASSAM)

After breakfast, drive to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the “Horned rhinoceros”. It is one of the oldest national parks in Assam on the south bank of the river Brahmaputra. Spread across 430 sq. km. One-horned rhinos, wild elephants, hog deer, and barasingha are some of the animals you can spot here. Check-in at hotel /Resort, Overnight stay at hotel/Resort.

Day 8: Kaziranga National Park:

Start the day at 5 A.M with a 1 hr. Elephant Safari in the Bagori (western) range of Kaziranga. Later return to the resort for breakfast. After breakfast, enjoy a game drive in the Kohora (central) range in the park. Return to the hotel for lunch, and after lunch visits the nearby villages to experience the rural lifestyle. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 9: KAZIRANGA – SHILLONG

In the morning after breakfast drive to Shillong. On the way, visit Barapani Lake or Umiam Lake which is the biggest artificial lake that offers an incredible experience of sailing, water skiing, water scooter & other water sports activities in midst of sylvan hills adorned by Khasi pines & peerless beauty. Enjoy water activities in Barapani Lake (activities at additional expenses). On arrival check in to Shillong.

DAY 10: SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Cherrapunjee. Cherrapunji in Meghalaya is one of the wettest places on the planet and the only place in India to receive rain throughout the year. On the way visit Shillong Peak and Elephant Falls. Important Cherrapunjee viewpoints are Duwanshing Syiem view point, Seven Sister Falls, Ramakrishna Mission, Nakalikai falls, Mausmai Cave, co Park, Bangladesh Border, etc. In the Evening return to the hotel in Shillong and evening free at your hotel.

DAY 11: SHILLONG – LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

In the morning takes a city tour of Shillong, also known as The ‘Scotland of the East’ lies in the center of a plateau surrounded by Khasi hills. The gorgeous city offers amazing tourist spots. The Botanical Garden, Butterfly Museum, Lady Hydari Park, Mini zoo, Golf course, The State Museum, and Elephant Falls are the major tourist attractions in Shillong. Overnight at Shillong.

DAY 12: SHILLONG TO GUWAHATI LOCAL SIGHTSEEING

In the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati. Check-in at the hotel on arrival. Proceed for local sightseeing of Guwahati which Includes – Kamakhya Temple, Balaji Temple, Basistha Temple, Srimanta ShankarDev Kalakshetra, State Museum, and local markets. Evening free for leisure and overnight stay at hotel.

DAY 13: GUWAHATI – DEPARTURE

After breakfast check out from the hotel with everlasting memories and transfer to Guwahati airport/railway station for an onward journey.
