Arrival and welcome at the Delhi IGI international airport as per your flight schedule by our local representative. Transfer to the hotel for the night.
Delhi – The capital city of India, with a population of around 20 million, every corner of this city has its own attractions, whether the old part of the city or the new one.
Discover the contrast between Old and New Delhi on a day tour. In the morning your tour will start with a visit to the biggest mosque in Delhi, Jama Masjid, and the vibrant markets of Chandni Chowk. In the afternoon visit the famous Humayun’s tomb and the Qutub Minar. In the evening visit India Gate and the presidential palace “Rashrapati Bhawan” (from outside). After the visit return to your hotel.
After breakfast, we will drive to Mandawa, a small village in the Shekhawati region famous for its fresco-painted havelis and royal palaces. The Havelis were houses decorated with fresco paintings of various patterns, designs, and mythological epics. These belonged to wealthy merchants doing business on the Silk Road in central Asia. Check in to the hotel in Mandawa and visit Havelis.
Mandawa is a small principality in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan, which was once a rich center for trade and commerce as the region was a highlight of the Silk Route. There was a flourishing commerce and trade in the region, due to which, the region was popular among the merchants coming from far eastern regions. It gave the opportunity for the region to flourish and grow. We still find luxurious houses or more commonly known as Havelis in the region, decorated with mural paintings depicting the lifestyle of the people in the early 19th Century. Some of them are converted into beautiful heritage hotels.
In the morning drive to Bikaner. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon visit Deshnoke Karni Mata Temple (Karni Mata temple is famous for its sacred rats). Back to Bikaner and in the evening a free walk to explore the Havelis of Bikaner, Bhandasar Jain temple, and its bazaars.
Bikaner is a city with its typical desert fragrance, which has its own style and culture. Here we can find a first glimpse of rural Rajasthan, which you will notice easily in the costumes of people, with colorful lehengas and chunris (typical Rajasthani style dresses for women) and large colorful turbans on the heads of Rajasthani Men.
It has its own attractions including 18th Century Junagarh Fort and palaces like Laxmi Niwas and Lallgarh palace. The legend of Deshnok Rat temple is also widely known and each year it brings thousands of tourists from far-off regions of India. In Bikaner, one can visit the famous camel breeding farm as well.
In the morning visit Junagarh Fort in Bikaner, built between 1589 and 1593, one of the only fort in India which was built on the ground. After the visit drive to Jaisalmer. On the way, visit the temple of Ramdeora, known for the deity Baba Ramdev revered by the local desert people. Check in to the hotel in Jaisalmer. In the late afternoon, visit Bada Bagh (royal cenotaphs) and enjoy the sunset over the Thar Desert. Evening a free walking tour to explore the bustling markets inside the Jaisalmer fort.
Jaisalmer is situated in the Thar Desert in Rajasthan, known for its golden color houses made of local sandstone, that’s why it’s known as a golden city. It is another jewel in the tourism destinations of Rajasthan, attracting visitors from all around the world. Its major tourist attractions are the Golden Fort, Jain temples with exquisite architecture, remarkable Patwa & Salim Singh Haveli, which are worth visiting. It has markets full of different artifacts, which makes it heaven for shoppers. Its golden sands also attract visitors, and they can go and experience the local village life of the desert.
Visit the Golden Fort (Sonar Kila) built in 1156 by the Rajput ruler Jaisal, the Patwa-ki-Haveli, Salim Singh-ki-Haveli, Nathmal-ki-Haveli, and Jaisalmer Jain temples.
In the afternoon depart for an excursion in the Thar Desert. On arrival welcome by locals with a welcome drink. Enjoy the camel ride or Jeep as per your choice in the Thar Desert (Sam village 40 km from the city) on the dunes till sunset. In the evening enjoy a traditional dance program presented by gypsies with traditional dance, music, and dinner. Return back to Jaisalmer for the night.
In the morning drive to Jodhpur. Check-in at a hotel in Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh fort, known as the “magnificent fort”, overlooking the city from the top of the hill. Then visit Jaswant Thada Memorial dedicated to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II was built in 1899. In the evening, explore the bazaars of the old city (Clock Tower) with their local spice shops.
Jodhpur is the second largest city in Rajasthan and is also known as the blue city. The city also has some old heritage buildings, like Umaid Bhawan Palace, which is now a luxury hotel and private residence of Maharaja of Jodhpur, and has served as a destination wedding venue for several famous people in Rajasthan.
Departure for Jojawar a picturesque village between Jodhpur and Udaipur. Check-in at your hotel in Jojawar. In the afternoon ready yourself for a ride in a vintage train through the most beautiful picturesque Aravalli Mountains. This ride will take you into the heart of the most beautiful forests and mountains of Rajasthan. This ride is also an opportunity to get in touch with local people, always curious to know visitors coming from far. In the evening, visit the village of Jojawar.
Drive to Udaipur. On the way, visit Ranakpur Jain temple, Chaumukha Mandir, the temple with four entrances and 1444 columns beautifully sculpted. Check-in at the hotel in Udaipur. In the evening, enjoy a traditional dance and puppet show of Rajasthan at Bagore ki Haveli.
Ranakpur Jain temple – This is a remarkable example of temple architecture in Northern India of the 16th century. This temple shows the prosperity and richness of the region in its columns carved out in white marble.
Udaipur, also known as “The Venice of the East” is the most romantic city in Rajasthan with lakes and palaces in the backdrop. In the morning visit the City Palace museum and Jagdish Temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. In the afternoon explore the local markets of Udaipur famous for its miniature paintings and local artifacts. In the late afternoon, a boat rides on Lake Pichola to enjoy the sunset over the lake.
Udaipur is also known as the city of lakes, as there are about 7 big and small lakes. The Udaipur city palace complex is the largest palace complex in India comprising the City Palace, Fateh Prakash Palace, Shiv Niwas Palace, Lake Palace, and Jagmandir Island. The narrow streets of the old city were cleverly shown in James Bond’s film Octopussy.
After your breakfast drive to Bundi. On the way, visit the largest fort of Rajasthan: Chittorgarh Fort. Check in to your hotel in Bundi, and visit the old town. Explore the stepwell “Raniji ki baori” adorned with beautiful sculptures.
Bundi is a small charming city, which comes often in the narration of Rudyard Kipling’s stories. There are attractions like Bundi Palace and Fortress, with its typical Bundi-style paintings known all over Rajasthan. Its different step-wells are also worth visiting.
In the morning visit Bundi Palace and Taragarh Fort & drive to Jaipur. Check in to the hotel in Jaipur and visit the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal). In the evening, explore the old town also known as the “Pink City”, and visit the temple of Laxminarayan (Birla temple).
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan is also known as the Pink City of India. This city is famous for its sprawling markets, lively people & magnificent palaces. On each corner of the city, you will find some attractions, thus markets specialized in jewelry, statues, clothes, spices, and everything that you can think of. The city attracts thousands of visitors from far horizons and keeps the hustle and bustle of this 18th Century city going on. Major attractions of the city are Amber Fort, an astronomical observatory founded by Raja Sawai Jai Singh, commonly known as Jantar Mantar, Wind Palace, Lake Palace, etc…
Jaipur, the capital of Rajasthan founded by the astronomer King Jai Singh II between 1688 and 1743. Visit the Amber Fort and climb the fort on the elephant’s back or by foot / Jeep. In the afternoon, visit the Astronomical Observatory (Jantar Mantar) and City Palace. Walk in the vibrant markets of the “Pink City” and discover its historical markets.
In the morning drive to Agra. On the way, visit the fortified city of Fatehpur Sikri. It was once the imperial capital of the mighty Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1584. Built by Emperor Akbar, perfectly preserved since its abandonment due to lack of water. This site is a remarkable testimony to the Indo-Islamic architecture of the 16th century.
On arrival check in to the hotel. Visit the Agra Fort, one of the most beautiful Mughal-style forts built by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565. In the evening visit the bustling markets of Agra, known for its marble artwork.
Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal for its views on sunrise. It is one of the best-time to visit the Taj Mahal as it is less crowded. Built at the request of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan as a tribute to his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal, its construction has mobilized more than 20,000 workers and artisans from around the world. Back to the hotel for breakfast.
In the late morning drive to Orchha and visit the Gwalior Fort on the way. Check-in at the hotel. Evening visit of cenotaphs of Maharajas of Orchha and the temple of Raja Ram, dedicated to the lord Rama as the King.
Orchha is a small village situated near Jhansi, famous for its Bundelkhandi tradition. It is famous for its Jehangir Palace, Bir Singh Palace, Raja Ram temple, and banks of river Betwa.
In the morning visit the Jahangir Mahal complex with its palace of mirrors. Later in the morning drive to Khajuraho. Check-in at the hotel. Visit the temples of the Kama Sutra. Evening free to explore the vibrant markets of Khajuraho.
Khajuraho is a beautiful town and is listed as Unesco’s world heritage site for its Kama-sutra temples. These temples dating to the 11th century are exquisite examples of Indian sculpture art with figures related to sexual art. The eastern and western clusters of temples are worth visiting, in this small city, the most famous one is the Laxmana temple.
In the morning drive to Prayagraj. On arrival check in to the hotel. In the afternoon visit the Patalpuri temple and in the evening, visit Sangam (the confluence of three sacred rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati River) and its ghats.
Prayagraj (Allahabad) is also one of the most important cities in Uttar Pradesh, known for its famous Triveni Sangam, and Patalpuri temple. This city witnessed every four years, the famous Kumbha Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world.
In the morning drive to Chunar, a small village situated between Prayagraj and Varanasi. On arrival embark on a boat to take a ride up to Varanasi. This ride will take you to some of the most picturesque villages on the banks of the Ganges. Upon arrival, welcome by our representative and check in to the hotel. In the evening, visit the Arti on the Ganges (prayer to Mother Ganga).
Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world, situated on the banks of the holy river Ganga. This is one of the most visited pilgrimage sites in India and is known for its mystic ambiance. There are several this to visit in Varanasi, such as the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Ganga Ghats, chowk market, Sarnath, etc..
Early morning boat ride on the Ganges to see life waking – up on the ghats of the Ganges and then back to the hotel for breakfast. During the day, visit the Buddhist temple and museum in Sarnath, and visit Manikarnika ghat (for cremation) and Dasahwamedha (for purification) of Varanasi. In the evening, visit the ancient city of Varanasi, the Chowk market, and the small streets of Varanasi.
Morning at leisure at your hotel. Late morning transfer to the airport to catch your flight to Delhi. On arrival at Delhi airport, you will be welcomed by our representative in Delhi and transferred to the hotel. Evening free at your hotel.
